What is the church of Christ?

We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired, infallible and authoritative. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

We have no man-made doctrine. (Matthew 15:9)

The Bible is the only doctrine needed. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

We are a non-denominational group of believers.  Christ built the only church. (Matthew 16:18)

We believe Jesus is the son of God. (John 1:1-18)

We believe Jesus died and was raised from the dead. (Acts 2:22-24)

We have no central church government - Christ is the head of the church. (Ephesians 5:23/1:22)

Elders are appointed to lead and oversee. (Titus 1:5-9) Qualifications (I Timothy 3:1-7)

Deacons are appointed to serve. (Acts 6:1-7) Qualifications (I Timothy 3:8-13)

We conduct worship consisting only of those elements found in the New Testament church (John 4:24).  These are: prayer (Acts 2:42), singing (Colossians 3:16), gospel preaching (Acts 20:7), observing the Lord's Supper (I Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 20:7), and giving (I Corinthians 16:1,2), for the work of the church (Ephesians 4:12).
